Hello and welcome!

You have all settled into Year 4 really well and I am enjoying getting to know you all! I will use this blog to upload some of the fantastic learning that we have been doing in class. 


Reminder:

Reading - Please read your home reading book at least 3 times a week and ask an adult at home to make a comment or sign your reading record.  

Mental maths - Please continue to regularly log in to your TTR account to practice your times tables.

In our PSHE lesson, we talked about the word 'unique'.  We recognised that we are all unique and have individual talents that makes our class an incredible place. Everyone in our class was given a hand to design, once we completed this we created a masterpiece!

Our Stone Age WOW day

Year 4 had an incredible WOW day on Friday. We transformed the classroom in to a cave and then decorated it with our incredible cave paintings. To compliment the stone Age dress up that we wore to school, we made our own stone age pendants to wear. Have you ever seen Stonehenge recreated using biscuits? Well, we did just that! It took a lot of patience, resilience and teamwork to create Biscuithenge but they looked fantastic when we finished. During the afternoon, we built a fire and toasted marshmallows over it!

Sugar investigation

  In class, we have been learning about different ways to keep our teeth healthy. We did an investigation to discover how much sugar is in some of the drinks that we like. We were very shocked by our findings!
